Iran’s Ammar Popular Film Festival has announced winners.

The 7th edition of Ammar Popular Film Festival revealed the winners in a ceremony held at Bahman Cultural Center in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Friday, January 7.

The festival included "Animation", "Motion Graphics", "Soft War", "Short Story", "Half-Length Story", "Full-Length Story", "Islamic Awakening and Unity", "Defenders of Holy Shrine", "Lifestyle", "Resistance Economy", and "Popular Sign of Independence" sections.

Abolqassem Talebi, Director of ‘The Golden Colors’ and ‘Orphanage of Iran’ was honored during the ceremony for his endeavors in upholding Islamic Iran’s cinematic values.

The festival opened on Wednesday, December 28, in presence of several prominent Iranian and international cineastes. The opening ceremony was held at Palestine Cinema in Tehran.

Ammar International Popular Film Festival goes against promotion of “individualism and extreme enjoyment without caring about the society's troubles and other human suppression,” the event’s official website noted.
